hi, has anyone here ever encountered this error with Fireburner, or know what this might mean? usually when i burn an SVCD with DVD2SVCD, under CD Image i just use VCDImager and everything goes fine when i burn the image file. but this time i thought i'd try VCDXBuild so that i can get the DVD chapters on the SVCD. for some reason, i can't burn the image file that was created. i get this error in Fireburner...

sorry, i should've done this before posting. i did some searching on the forum and somebody else did have the same problem as me. he found that the solution for him was to burn in Track-at-Once mode instead of Session-at-Once. i tried it, no errors appeared and my CD-RW drive started burning. however, i my PC couldn't read the finished burnt SVCD. it's like a blank CD-R.

i tried burning the .cue image file with Nero. burn completed successfully and the SVCD is playable on WinDVD. i can scan through chapters with the << and >> buttons, but the chapter number on the player always remains at 1. is this because Nero doesn't burn the subindexes info? there are some functional irregularities because of this.

any solution to burning with Fireburner? or what are my other options?

Have you ever tried the foolproof way from Q&A?

hi, thanks for the tip. i just tried the "foolproof" way of burning and ended up with the exact same SVCD that i previously burnt with Nero, ie. all chapters display as chapter 1. the problem with burning the image was probably Fireburner. i've decided to ditch that program now.

so my problem now are the chapters on the SVCD. why do they turn out like that when i play it in WinDVD or PowerDVD? is it supposed to display chapter 1 all the time? i followed the guide on how to get the DVD chapters with VCDXBuild but when i burn the image it turns out like that.
