Greetings distinguished users! Thanks if anyone can shed some light on this matter.
I'm attempting to backup a DVD which has the Dolby 5.1 audio on it, DVD2SVCD seems to recognize and offers to rip the correct audio channels. I have the toggles set for 5.1 encoding set in DVD2SVCD, I also have it set to use I-Author since I read that's what is necessary for the process to work.
When I put the resulting disk in my Apex AD-1600 player however the 5.1 stream doesn't seem to be detected. (In fact, all I get is audio static and snow for a picture.)
I read that there are few players which can read 5.1 on an SVCD, I thought perhaps this latest Apex may be one of them. (At least it's nicely SVCD compliant.)
Has anyone had success with this? Just curious as to whether it may not be possible with this player, or "user error" in the creation process.
