hi
i think this can be done by figuring ou the original bitrates and than enter this settings in dvd2svcd(bitrate and max.size of 1 cd to about 4 gigs) but keep in mind a svcd is only up to 800mb`s

this is the only way without loosing quality but it will never fit on one cd...so if your question was to put a whole dvd onto svcd without loosin extremly quality the answer is no..

gruss

funny

of course i don't want to put this file on CD-R/RW but on DVD-R/RW

maybe i have to explain it again, i want tu put my SVCDs with selectable subtitles on DVD, so it can be approx. 2 movies about length of 2 hrs, but when i don't want permanent subtitles, but invisible/selectable, like in SVCD stream, but after merge of 2-3 SVCD files with this kind of subtitles, subtitles are gone, so thats why i want to try to make solid SVCD file from DVD, maybe this will be the reason to make DVD with 2 or more SVCD movies with invisible/selectable subtitles and maybe with more audio streams or 5.1 audio

anyway thanx for reply

Just edit your bitrate tab. Chose from 0 to 999 min use 1 CD size 4300 (Don't use pulldown to enter this value, just type it in the field). Also chose bitrate to a higher amount, maybe 6000 or something like that. So you will get one big MPEG (no bin/cue because VCDImager refuses to make images bigger than 99min).
I don't have a DVD-burner, so I don't know how to procede with this MPEG-file.
