hi,

i use besweet v1.4RC4 and the latest Vobinput.dll (v1.2.0.2) file ( and the latest BesweeGui) and it seems to me (but perhaps i am wrong) there is a bug with the vobsubinput.dll file. i have make a test with an AC3 stream (0x80) and all worked fine , but if i try with an MPA stream (0xc0) this doesn't work, it was enabled to find the stream.
here are my command line for an 0x80 stream :

besweet -core( -input "h:\TestVob\out.lst" -output "C:\test.mp3" -substream 0x80 -logfile "C:\BeSweet.log" ) -azid( -c light -L -3db --maximize ) -lame( --scale 1 --alt-preset 128 )

all worked fine, but with an another .vob file who have an MPA stream at 0xC0 the encoding process doesn't succeeded. command line :

besweet -core( -input "h:\TestVob\MPAStream\vts_01.lst" -output "C:\test2.mp3" -substream 0xC0 -logfile "C:\BeSweet.log" ) -azid( -c light -L -3db --maximize ) -lame( --scale 1 --alt-preset 128 )

i have this error in the besweet log :

[00:00:00:000] +------- BeSweet -----

i think there is a little problem with the vobinput.dll file and the other stream than 0x80, i am not silly i am sure there is an audiostream at 0xc0 (to be sure i have extract the audio stream with vstrip with the command line .....-! -d -o "out.MP2" 0xC0 and the .mpa are working, i have tested with "Tsunami Streams v2.0.9" and he have found me a MPa stream at 0xc0 with a delays=0ms, and i have even extract the stream with dvd2avi who have found me the stream at 0xc0 and a delays=0ms)

i think the Vobinput.dll file was buggy with other audio streams than 0x80, can someone make tests and answer me if i am right ?

Ps: if there is a bug, think to test with PCM streams (0xA0).

PS2 : i have tested too with the Vobinput v1.1.0.1 and i have the same besweet error log exept the line "A/V Delay found : -288msec" who don't exist.

Sorry for my bad english.

hi,

thanks u to give a shot for this problem , i hope u have a .vob file sample with an mpa stream, else i can perhaps host u a part of a .vob file.

i believe i can debug it without having a vob.

10x anyway.. :)

@Dspguru
hi, i come from hollydays and i have tested your new version (RC7) but there is no new version of vobinput plugin, there is still this reported bug :( do u think release a new version of this plugin without the bug ? perhaps have u an another priority :)

thank u for your answer :) bye.

i haven't found the time to look at this.
but this is one of the fewest known bugs left to fix before i can release v1.4, so it's on the top of that short list.

can you retry without the list ?

Dark-Cracker
15th September 2002, 17:44
yes without the list and directely the .vob it working but in my test file (a trailer) i have only one .vob to use with multiple .vob file should i use this synthax ? :

- input "h:\Test\vts_01_1.vob"+"h:\Test\vts_01_2.vob"+"h:\Test\vts_01_3.vob"

or perhaps do u think fix the .lst file ?

bye.

this syntax isn't a legal BeSweet syntax.
i will take a look at the list issue.

DSPguru
27th September 2002, 22:45
until there's a new VOBInput.dll, BeSweet will process the listfile by itself.

I got this error when I try to convert "AVI to MP2" using BeSweet 1.4 via GUI v0.6.
Error 58: Error : Unknown Input-File Format
The AVI is a Xvid/Divx with VBR MP3. I have VOBinput.dll and have tried tooLame and MP2Enc.
Also, I have a question on stereo output mode.
I'm pondering whether to choose stereo or Dual channel. Dual channel sounds higher quality to me. I checked the file with AVI codec and it says 2 channel and with GSPOT, it says
122 kb/s (61/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.92
Does this mean it qualifies for Dual Channel?

Post your full logfile for the failed conversion, also try the latest BeSweet beta, much has been improved.

The input format has nothing to do with what channels mode should be used for the output. For MP2, stereo is recommended over dual channel, but it's your choice. See the General Audio FAQ #3 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68300#post424063) for more info on stereo/dual channel.

I think I have the same problem. Besweet 1.5b25 can't encode my AVI which has MP3 audio. I'm using the GUI v0.7.
