Hi there!

I want to make an animated chapterlist for my miniDVD. I'm using Scenarist NT and Adobe Premiere. With the help of the Animated Menu tutorial in this forum I made the animated menu with premiere.

I've also made audio clips to this short video clips. In Scenarist I added all audio clips to the representing animated menus. Here's what I want to do:
When I select one chapter with the cursor (so the highlighted button is on that video), it should play the apropriate audio track.

Has anyone enough experience using scenarist and programming dvds in scenarist to help me?

Thanks a lot!

create 1 menu with all the buttons on it, and duplicate the menu for however many buttons there are; you need to setup an auto action on all the buttons and go to one of the duplicated menus, and all that should be different in each of the menus is the default button highlight wont have auto action, but will go to the chapter instead, the rest of the buttons on all the menus will be auto action pointing to another menu

if you dont follow, im sure i can explain it better.

I think I got the point. So here's what I did so far:

My menu has 3 animated buttons. This means I have altogether 4 menus. My root menu with the 3 buttons and 3 copies of it, representing the 3 buttons. Right?

But how do I attach an automatic action to a button? The button action normally only performs when pushing enter on the remote control. But I want to perform it when highlighting the button with the cursor buttons.

So far, when I'm highlighting the first video, the button command should point to the first copy of the same menu, witch has now the corresponding audio track, right? And in the copy, the same link is pointing to the target video? And the other 2 videos in the copied menu are pointing to the corresponding menus etc.

I think so far I get it. The only problem is the "auto action". :(

yup, now somewhere in the menu options when you have a button selected, there is an autoaction checkbox.

oops, forgot your talking about scen., which i have nfi where the autoaction switch is.

Thanks for your help! :)

So, does anyone know, how to perform a button action in scenarist, without pressing "Enter" on the remote control? Only when highlighting the button?

I have a question... When you move to each button, do you experience a slight lag for load time each time? And is this the only way for this to be done (the lag is kind of annoying) or is it just the easiest?

Thanks.

the lag is the cause of seeking on the disc, which is really unavoidable, but is usually minimal.
