version 1.0.9 build 3

Enhancement: Added support for MPEG5.1 Audio using philips encoder. You must use I-Author as the CD-Image create program otherwise your SVCD will only have ordinary stereo sound.

my question is with i-author, when i select i-author in the cdimage tab the feild i-author 1.0 which should contain the path for the i author exe program is empty. i checked the folder with the bundle and couldnt find it. i was curious to know is this a separate program that i have to download myself? If so can someone pls direct me to the url for this program? thanx in advance guys!

I-Author is not included in the DVD2SVCD bundle and the same goes for CCE and TMPGEnc.

I-Author is discontinued and no longer sold according to http://www.vcdhelp.com

why would the author of dvd2svcd create this enhancement? well i guess my next question is.. umm anyone got a copy of I-Author out there that they want to share ddue to lack of being able to get it anymore??

My guess is that I-author has been supported a long time, at a time that it was available. If some ppl. have this application and the feature has allready been implemented in DVD2SVCD there is no reason to remove it.

As for obtaining an illegal copy of I-author ur in the wrong place. The fact that u mention it (violation of item 6 in the rulez) could cause these excellent forums to be closed down so please think before u post.

oh no!.. I wouldnt dream of illegal copies.. just looking for an avenue to find a working copy. though it does come to mind.. if they stopped making it and supporting it.. and selling it.. then is it still illegal to copy it?

Hi bigteethygrin,

as pepsimaxx already told you, I-Author is not sold any longer, so you only might have some luck searching ebay.com or google for some guys that sell their original licensed I-Author software to you. Sorry for that.

And I try hard to believe that your intentions were good and you really didn't know that asking for a copy of dicontinued software is also illegal, so no strike for you - this time. :sly:

Greetings,
