what is your subtile format? you can use 1 of three plugins.. if its ssa yu can either use Avery Lee's subtitler plugin or TextSub outta the VobSub package.. if its srt or another text format you can use TextSub from VobSub package.. And if its idx/sub then use VobSub plugin from the VobSub package also..

1st - use more descriptive subject - simple "how" doesn't tell anything - and that's just an advice....:)
2nd - so...what do you want to do??? have permanent subs only or have a movie with permanent and non-permanent subtitles???
There is at least couple of ways of doing these things, so I suggest looking at the guides for the beginning...
