newbie: divx 5.02 to mpeg2 (m2v + audio)

hi
wanted to know which software was the most suitable to make this operation.
tmpgenc 2.57 doesn't read correctly the file. CCE doesn't want to read it.
Vegas video 3.0 doesn't recognize it.
Any clue?
Should avisynth be the solution?

Hi.
I did a test from Stargate - SG1 - [5x10] - 2001 - [350]-[AC3]-[AMC].ShareReactor.avi which is read by divx 5.01 in my config (checked with graphedit) even if it is divx4 or 3.11.
I just did "add" from cce 2.50 and it works fine.


I just started a vbr first pass and shut off be4 done becoz i don't need it but I check the video and it was fine.

I test with cce2.64 and it worked fine also, but did'nt check the video output.

Be sure to check that u have the codecs for the DivX files INSTALLED or CCE wont see em.

ok but should I see the divx if the codecs aren't installed?!
I can play the movie without any problems
cce 2.64 gives me a "THE" when it tries to load it.
Very strange, tmpgenc can read it but the frame is incorrect like an old TV with distortion.
size is 674 x 366

any clue?
