Acheiving a 2gb file size for multi-dvd-r's question ??

Right here goes :

i want to create double compilations ( ie . Blade & blade 2 on 1 disc )

I have a friend who has already done loads of multi dvd compilations & picture quality of them is perfect but he will no reveal how exactly how he does it.

I tried to follow a guide on another forum which explained how to use DVD2SVCD program & CCE encoder to fit 1 film on a dvd-r with excellent results but it doesn't tell me how to acheive the same excellent results but with a much smaller file size.

In theory I need to get the m2v file size to around 2gb so it me to fit 2 on 1 disc.

Can anyone give me any advice or a guide to acheive this ?

Hi,

Just use the robshot method (www.robshot.com) to encode 1 pass vbr. Then when you select advanced in cce after the 1st pass has completed, you will get an indication of the final m2v size. You can then adjust the bitrate to get a movie to a particular size.

Dont forget to take into account the size of the ac3 file.

Then simply re-author the 2 movies in maestro, with a simple menu allowing you to select the appropriate movie.

Glen.

thanks for the info but the link doesn't seem to be working

Any suggestions or do you have the guide saved in a word or text file that I could have. ?
