idx + sub --> .srt

ok, maybe this is a stupid question and probably asked a zillion times (still I can't seem the find the answer), but is it possible to convert vobsub files (the big ones, usually 3MB per movie) to a less bigger format like .srt? I am talking about the .idx & the .sub file...

use vobsub's subresync or subrip.
