hi all.
probably its been already discussed here, but i'm having a little "problem" with the detection/reproduction of AC3 5.1 (DD) audios im my Yamaha Receiver ( http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/av/products/ht/rxv520.html )
ps.: the audio card is Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Valeu and the audio was muxed with the video with Nandub (does it matter the delay? cause, i put the delay that DVD2AVi said me that the AC3 had... without any frame/etc configuration, simply muxed !)
the connection used its a p2 (i think its it, those phone adaptor) pluged at the Digital Out of the card, and pluged at the Coaxial Digital Input of the Receiver (by a RCA cable)

the question is: even when playing DVD with my DVD-ROM, the receiver detects it as Dolby Pro Logic / PCM audio?!?!?!

why?
is there something wrong with the cable?
:(

thank you !!!!!

first check your filter properties and make sure it is set to SPDIF out, then either buy a different sound card (non-creative brand) or use the search feature of the forum (which should always be the first step! ;) )

Intervideo Audio Decoder

Try a newer version of iviaudio.ax (i'm not sure _how_ new it has to be)

I also have an sblive value and used Intervideo's iviaudio.ax to output AC3 by SPDIF. On my old Technics decoder everything worked great. AC3 tracks played fine and were recognized perfectly on my decoder. Then i bought my brand-spankin-new Yamaha receiver and was very frightened to find that it did not recognize the AC3 audio.

But ta-da! After hours of work i figured out that it was iviaudio.ax and now everything works beautifully.

Simply by switching versions of the filter my Yamaha either would or would not recognize the stream even though all of them worked fine on my old decoder and on my roommate's receiver.

Or something.

Good luck!
