The newest version of DVD2AVI is actually able to strip the DTS audio file from the movie now. The size for my particular example is 338MB for AC3, and 512MB for the DTS track.

The only problem is the DTS file, has an extension *.dts and I've yet to find something that can play it standalone, also Nandub can interleave it, but it just reverts back to 2 channel sound. Is anyone working on a cracked Nandub or other program currently that can interleave this type of extension? If its upcoming I can hang on to my DTS tracks and interleave them at a later date.

Thanks

I never try to interleave DTS track to AVI since there is still
no guide yet. ;)

.... but I never find the DS filter for the DTS playback,
I never try to use iviaudio.ax (which come with the WinDVD DTS version) to decode the DTS track.

Any ideas ?

I tried the WinDVD4 XP I've got, full version and it doesn't seem to recognize that .dts extension as a playable file.

I'm getting some new HD's soon, so I'll be reinstalling XP, but before I wipe this machine, I'm going to download and install every media player I can find to see if I can find any that will play that *.dts extension.

If anyone else knows of one speak up!!

Maybe you didn't get the point of ooksDVD? Search the forum for DTS and you will find lots of things about that format. Afaik noone has managed to play a .dts file outside of WinDVD or PowerDVD on his computer. Try Graphedit and select 'Render media file' and you'll see that nothing happens.
There seems to be no possibility to transcode DTS as there is no decoder that works outside your software DVD player. DTS works in VOBs and in VOBs only. Maybe you can use that track when you Master your own DVDs with one of the pro apps, but that's another point.
