I can't get audio from an avi-file, and no it isn't ac3 or ogg audio. How do I find out what codec has been used? I have found fourcc changers but they only change the video-codec

I tried the program but it said unknown codec. I guess that the audio is broken in some way. All programs I've tried says unknown codec. The only info I can get is that it is 11 khz and mono.

when i use the qdesigm mpg2 codec (acm) the resulting file gives same message as well (with that proggie, and sometimes with others as well), eventhough, the resulting clip can be decoded on a clean os install, and eventhough the acm codec is installed.

so i guess that tool might either miss something, or my codec (and possibly others as well) don't produce standard files.

If the others didn't work, maybe this one won't either.
But give it a try.

See the properties ofthe avi.
I think the codec info is in the summary.
So if you have the codec, it should say it there.
