I saw your post on the main page, and I have some info which I posted to www.vcdhelp.com which you may be interested in. It explains about compatibility issues and the STCM stack which is used in the thompson player whilst writing with Nero.

I'm not using nero to burn ;) plus.. all blanks works but the cheap ones have breakups and skips every once in a while.. but the discs can be read
