digitally, no way...

You could connect the tv out of your graphics adapter to the camcorder's analog in. But that's not what you want, I guess...

Try this program it plays divx true your dv-in, http://icqphone.ru/video2tv/

Is this really fast enough to convert any video to DV format in realtime?
I was thinking of how long it needs to convert Divx to DV using Ulead Video Editor - the DV encoding is really cpu intensive (resizing and all...). Don't have the camcorder here right now, but I have to check that out very soon. Would be amazing if it works!

I did not test it myself but i was thinking when it sends the divx to your camcorder true your dv-in it must be digital. Al you have to do is push the record button on your camera, and it will record the movie in dv-format to tape.

Sounds promising, but I'd let someone else test it first ;)

Why don't u simply use Premiere?
Import ur divx seq?. and then do a basic dv output....

Where is the probe with that? (i guess u tried and didn't work)

I tried the prog from the icqphone link above, but it didn't do anything. I received no errors, it just wouldn't work at all, no matter what settings I chose.
I was trying it in between editing a DV project and while editing I always watched Ulead's previews on TV through firewire->DVcam->TV, so I know the hardware works.

BeNBeN, can Premiere play Divx through Firewire in realtime, without rendering a preview first. I mean, the video must be resized and converted to interlaced DV - Ulead won't do it in realtime.

Well, damn you're right , u'll certainly need to process the whole movie before output.
I did'nt understood ur question : ithought u wanted to make a .dv file , NOT an output to tape.
In that case i'm afraid u have to process or maybe use the analog of the Dv device . Of course u need a tv-out graphx card and analog in option...
