Hello :)
I'm looking for a simple guide on how to use the fairly new REALmagic RMP4 MPEG-4 codec.
I was able to do it from DVD2AVI but I'm not used to using DVD2AVI for anything more than saving a project (for GORDIAN KNOT DivX guide as per DOOM9) so I ended up with a file with 720x576 and an aspect ratio of 16x9 (I don't know how to convert it to normal) nor do I know how to crop with DVD2AVI.
I tried making a DVD2AVI project and loading it into GORDIAN KNOT to get an AVS file to read into VirtualDub but I'm no VirtualDub expect and don't know what to do after loading the AVS into it.
So any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance :)

P.S.
The encode I did with DVD2AVI at 720x576 at the original uncroped 16x9 ratio looked absolutly amazing when I played it back in ZOOM PLAYER (which also gave me the correct aspect ratio on my 4:3 computer monitor when I selected 16x9 as the aspect ratio)
HOWEVER ...
I eneded up with two HUGE avi files ... one nearly 2 GB and the second about 1.3 GB and of course with no sound. Oh yes I used the QUALITY BASED Mode at 100% with all the default settings (but no deinterlace since it was a progressive 25fps PAL DVD) and like I said the image kicked ass and was only about 3.3 GB in total whereas the SMARTRIPPER rip came up to nearly 5.5 GB (course I didn't try to match the video to one of the three 2.0 192 AC-3 audio files).
Anyway, like I said, the image quality rocked ... course I've never tried DivX 5.0.2 (which I am familar with making) at full tilt quality like that but usually limit it to fit on 2 CD-R Discs.
