Recently I've been trying to get my hauppauge wintv pci capture card to capture from composite video but it won't work. It will just show a blue screen. I even tried swapping tv's. The hauppauge website and does offer a solution to a problem similar to this but they are only for windows 98/95 users and Im running xp. Im using the btwincamp drivers from here. (http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/.) I was never successful with using any hauppauge drivers for xp until I found the btwincap ones. I dunno why the video composite video source isn't working. When attempting to use the xp drivers from hauppauge the composite video source still shows a blue screen.
Any response would be very helpful.
Thnx

Have you configured the composite port in "winTV2000"? , in virtual dub you can select source from there , try that . Other that that i would say make sure that your composite cable is the right type and that it is working and that the source device is set to OUTPUT to composite.

i think that blue screen is a good thing. it means that it does read from the compisite input, but it finds nothing.
try using a different source (i.e. try a vhs vcr or a dvd player). rememver that you have to connect the rca on one side to the 'video out' port of the output device, and the other side to the composite (rca connector) of your tv card.
seems to me that u just have a connection problem.
hope it helps
cheers
