hi ppl. I rip every subtitles in subrip but since i use the subrip 1.02 , i don't know why, every subtitle i put in italic when i watch thr movie appears like this one:

<i>My dad is asking me why i did that</i>

all subtitles that i choose to be in italic appear in the movie like that one, with the <i> and the </i>
if someone could me explain why...

The subtitle Engine of your Player (or the ds filter) must be able to use HTML tags, else you see the tags (your case)
For exemple, if you use italic subtile in ogm, the subtitle engine is able to use correctly the <i>ksjlfhlfdsh</i>
...
Good luck

The support of HTML tags in subrip is quite new (at start there was no "official" support for any tag in the subrip format), so a lot of player show the tag as text.
The Micro DVD format support is own tag format (ex: {y:i} for italic) since a long time, if you convert your file to this format you will have more chance to see it supported by a player, and be sure that Micro DVD Player support it.
