A)You wanted it, we deliver! The Star Wars trilogy special edition DVD backup's are here! Finally you can own these kick butt movies on DVD! Each episode was backed up from a VHS tape, this was the only way since there are no DVD versions of the trilogy set yet. I was able to make the sound more clear and the picture quality is very good, but of course not DVD quality. Each episode comes in a nice DVD case with a cover, and the DVD itself has a nice full picture from the movie labeled on it. As all our backup's have, these disc do have chapters!

B) No advertising on the forum.

C) You can buy these same silvers for less than $4 each.

D) They are illegal.

E) Striked. (Forum rule 5)

F) You suck.

G) VHS-2-DVD... what are you trying to sell here? Ever looked around and thought about the "high quality aspect" which is the biggest influence here?

H) Look at F) again.

I) I'd like to strike you more often, but I hope you'll simply get banned for the rest of your lifetime. Go to kiddies places and sell your soul there.

J) In memoriem: Look at F) and H).

*grrr*

First off, Koepi you are a moron which seems to have nothing better to do with his time. Copieing and posting a part of my site in a forum like a small immature child with no life what so ever. Second off I made Star Wars backups on DVD because over 54 people from this forum mailed me asking for them. And if you where smart you would no that the trilogy is only on VHS, not DVD so there is no way to make a perfect backup copy... People want it on DVD simply because they can have chapters, and DVDs never wear out. But it seems you would not be smart enough to realize that whole simple factor. It is ok, the world is full of stupid retards. You just happen to be on top of that list.

As for backups being illegal, you are wrong. If you would read the copyright laws, it clearly states that a person owning an oringal copy of that movie is allowed to own a backup copy to protect the oringinal. My site provides a service to people that can not make backup copies themselves.

oh, and I have not seen one single site that sells these movies on DVD for $4 each... I would like to see where you saw them for that cheap. But if they simply are VCDs, do not waist my time.

They are also on Laser Disc and "backing up" them will produce a much higher quality DVD.

They aren't sold online for $4 each. But believe me they are available, in fact, a company that no longer sells to individuals (IZero)
only charged $6 a piece for them, and by Silver standards, they were an expensive retailer. Oh and, Izero guy went to jail in April (http://www.mpaa.org/anti-piracy/press/2001/2002_04_08.htm) and he marketed his silvers as 'backups' with a disclaimer not too different from yours...

Continuing on, you are breaking applicable copyright laws. You do not have a license to resell the Star Wars trilogy, and you certainly do not have a license to produce such 'backups'. I have reported you and your website to the MPAA. (mailto:hotline@mpaa.org)

Also, in the case of your other 'backups' that are offered. To make those backups, you circumvented CSS, which is an anti-piracy mechanism protected by the DMCA, so even if through some copyright loopholes, your backup sales are legal, your circumvention of the CSS copy protection is not.

Bottom line, you're not licensed to make DVD Backups (i.e. you don't have CSS keys), you're not licensed to reproduce the Star Wars trilogy to a different medium, no matter what your intent, and you spell like someone who is in the fifth grade. Do not waste our time.

I encourage you all to drop an email to the MPAA at the above email address. They offer rewards, especially in the case of silver/dvd 'backup' manufacturers that have sizeable operations. :)

@int 21h:
I would NEVER report anyone to the MPAA, because the MPAA sucks big time! Although I agree JAG_ENTERPRISE should be banned on this forum, I would not tell on him or anybody else to the MPAA under no circumstances!

Fight the MPAA, don't support them!

@JAG_ENTERPRISE
... sucks, just to repeat the others.

We (some german freaks and a few of my close friends) have EP4, 5 & 6 since more than a year on DVD-R at near DVD quality DIGITALLY grabbed from a DVB (Satellite) PayTV provider, anamorph with DD AC3 5.1, PAL german...

The nicest thing is, he breaks rule no. 4 with his replies and in fact is banned in a minute (after I write this post).

Too bad that he can't read the difference between "int21h" and "koepi" ;) Strange that noone noticed...

Koepi

The only way anyone could legally make "backups" or transfer film/tape to DVD would be to have the customer prove he owns the original. This is usually done (by licensed post-production houses) by presenting the original. To just market "backups" to the public at large is plain BS.
As for reporting to the MPAA, I would do it too. Even though there is no love for them or the DMCA, blatant copyright infringers deserve this. It also states clearly where we stand on the issue. It is especially fitting in this case, since the source is analog.

...especially fitting in this case, since the source is analog, the backup was made by a dumbass, and you are trying to make money off of some one elses shit. I wish I had the power to strike you down myself.
