I've got bad news for anyone using them: Shop4Tech is now doing a 'bait and switch' with their 'PrimeDisc' DVD-Rs. I received my most recent batch, and they are:

- Thinner, cheaper feel (compared to the original PrimeDisc, they are 2/3 thinner)
- Much Lighter Dye
- Have different manufacturer numbers on the inside of the disk
- Have IIET etched in small font on the inside of each disk
- Have a clear center ring (original PrimeDiscs have a fogged ring)

I've contacted Shop4Tech and they tried to bullshit me by saying they are the same. That's crap! They are worse looking then some of the elcheapo generics you get elsewhere. So I've got an RMA to send them back. I'm not even going to try them. I'm not going to 'test' 50!!

Just thought I'd let you know. A little disappointing since I have sucess with the PrimeDiscs, after testing others.

Anyone else have good luck with generic DVD-Rs? Any recommendations?

Thank you for the information on the forementioned company.

As for your question, please search the threads for this answer, I'm going to close this thread since we don't need YET ANOTHER thread started about dvd blanks.
