Subrip 1.021 RULES !!!

Just tried it and it works perfectly with DVDMaestro.

I had to change the settings slightly because I was getting an occasional line under the text. I think Maestro needs the
'Allow BMP cropping menu' checked and a
'height must be a minimum of : 4' setting.

I also reduced the min size down to 4.

I have saved my settings if anyone needs them ;)

I like the new Subrip but can I make a request for the next version please.

Could it be possible to support VOBs greater than 1 GB.
I like to use to SmartRipper to rip the movie and whichever streams that I require and have it set not to split the files into 1 GB clips.

When I try to rip the subtitles I only seem to get the first 35 mins or so of subtitles. I guess this is because Subrip only reads the first GB.

Could an option to work with large VOBs please be included in future versions.

Thanks for an excellent program...

Sorry but it looks like the line under the text is a slightly bigger problem.

After doing another film I noticed the problem remained.

After checking which pictures were affected and that the pictures were not corrupt. I started to look at the textfile which had been created by subrip and noticed the lines only appear on lines of subtitles were the vertical position is odd.

I also manually edited a SON file and subtracted one from all the Subtitles with odd vertical positions and imported this into Maestro.

Finally it was sussed.

The problem is that Maestro does not like odd vertical positions for the subtitles...

Could an option to ensure the the vertical position of the Subtitle is always even please be included for those films with subtites accross the top of the screen as well as the bottom during conversations.

Thanks for an excellent program :D

Zuggy,

Would you consider a feature something like this. "Pause" after you enter a character, so you can go to the text and check to see if you enter the right character. For example, subrip is having a hard time to distinguish "fi" and f', especially in italics and sometimes in regular text, so if I put fi for "fi", I might end up getting fii, because the next vertical line without the dot, subrip would interpret it as an i also, OR if I put f for "f'", I might get a f and losing an i. This sounds confusing I know, but if you had experience that problem you will know what I am talking about.

Another example I can think of, big capital K, sometime the OCR would become lK, because the vertical line of K is very thick.

The "Pause" will be not needid, I work on better highlighting and better area determining.

Thanks... Subrip will be perfect (for DVD>Maestro rips at least)

Currently I'm rendering the subtitles to their original positions and using Notepad to ensure that the vertitcal height is an even number.

If anyone is interested : use 'Replace' for each odd lineheight and enter a space before the number
Replace with a space followed by the number +1.

This will ensure that only linumbers will be changed and not filenames with the number within them as well.

This is much quicker than retyping each lineheight manually.

Zuggy, what's with subrip spazing out if i don't type in letters fast enough?

Sometimes I want to make sure i've got the italics and case right. Sometimes, I have to think about what I want SubRip to translate the red box as.

It's quite annoying.

use the crop function and set the min width and height to 720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL.

No more problem with positionning :)

To 31 Flavas:
Hi, I'm not author of this feature. That was made by original developer, Brain. And I will not remove it, simply from respect, but will make it customizable.
