View Full Version : Somebody Please Help. Cannot get SubRip to rip subtitles in sync from or. Vobs

I am trying to rip subtitles from the movie A Beautiful Mind, it is an American version, NTSC, 29.970 fps.

After the rip is done, subtitles are out of sync, and not by frames, rather by the time code (could it be because of frames, or pulldown or something?)

I am encoding with CCE.

Still the timecode is not in sync even with the original VOBs.

Could somebody please point out what could be wrong?
Thank you.

1. What SubRip version do you use,
2. What output format do you use.

I don't understand what you wrote: in frame-based output is all OK, but in time-based it isn't, or what do you mean?

Thanks man, but I got it working.

Problem lays in the settings for the scenarist. You have to select drop frame mode for all sources (video and audio) then subtitles, magically, start working in perfect sync.

i'm having the same problems in maestro with the latest subrip (v1.03) etc and using the maestro guide on doom9's...

anyone know how to enable drop frames in maestro?
