Why the hell all this secrecy? I mean there's nothing wrong with licensing XviD to sigma designs now is there?

Did you also try searching for "real magic"?? Trust me there have been plenty of posts on this codec already.

also, -h posted more than once that div3 to mp4 is probably possible, and that he might work on it when he has some time, not sooner than few weeks from now.

also, xvid was NOT licensed to sigma, according to the xvid coordinator isibaar in this (http://www.xvid.org/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=633&highlight=sigma) thread.

it is the decision of the people involved in xvid to first quietly investigate this before creating any fuss about it in public. you have to accept that decision.
