Hi Folks,
I've waited the five days since registering and have a submitted a DNA sample so now I can finally post ;)
I'm having trouble with Star Wars: Episode I but it's not the usual ones.
I have ripped main title keeping just 1 angle, AC3 and no subtiles (I know I know, I don't care) and completely rebuilt the vobs and fixed sectors blah blah blah so now I have a complient DVD structure and it plays fine from HD.
Obviously this is still too big so I want to transcode it to fit on 1 DVD-R. I tried ReMpeg but had lousy quality (same as Bandits) so I thought I'd try TMPG. To keep the AC3 I've used SmartRipper to demux and have a video stream that is complete and plays fine all the way through. The problem occurs when I run this through TMPG to resize. It take the usual eternity and registers 100% done but when I play it back it is only just over an hour long.
I'm running out of hair to pull out and would appreciate your views
Cheers
