OGG container edit tool

Hi there everybody.

I am looking for a edit tool that allows editing OGG container format. This includes: cut/join OGM files, add a new sountrack/video track/subtitle track, view OGM file internals, change fourCC... all in one wonder.

Is there any? If not, are you people out there interested in promoting the creation of such a tool?? (oggcut and oggmux are not enough if OGG is to turn into a mainstream container format)

Well, its easy .... grab yourself the Virtualdub sources from www.virtualdub.org and implement Ogg format in it. Shouldnt be to big of a problem for any good C++ coder.

Of course, you will need some advice from Tobias on how exactly he has implemented f.e. the subtitles into Ogg ( if you cut an Ogg file you have to cut them to ) and some other things, but the full, detailled Ogg container specs are to be found here :

You are more than welcome if you would accept this task ;) , as i am quite sure you are the right level of coder to do this !

Are you kidding?

I have little to no coding experience. Maybe in 2 or 3 years, when I have lernt what it takes, I will commit my spare time to that things.
Now I cannot do it, but... maybe you?

I think OGG lakcs a serious support from the editing side, and therefore I decided to post the last thread. Since you don't have any idea of my programming skills, I consider your last reply as a joke, which is not really what this thread is intended to be.

I think he just misunderstood you.. like me, the first time i read this post i got the impression if there wasen't any ogg edit tool you would make one :)

anyway.. no there are no full OGG "Edit" tools yet.. I'm hoping for a plugin type thing that you can plug into virtual dub and use that :) or even better native support for .ogg
