Hi All,

I have an anolog video camera and am looking for a slightly more up to date capturing/editing solution until I update to DV. My only really definite prerequisites is that this solution must be fully functional under Windows 2000, and must be able to capture beyond the 2GB filesize limit.

At the moment I'm looking at getting a DC10+, as it it seems to be able to do everything I want with a little tweaking, and you can find them on Ebay now for about $100AUD ($55USD).

Any suggestions/advice??

I use the ATI Radeon DDR 64. It has great capturing, looks really good. I believe that it should go beyond the 2GB limit, but I've never actually tried it. It encodes live directly to MPEG2, or you can choose a variety of other ways to encode it. They can be found pretty cheap nowadays, not to mention the great gaming 3d acceleration on the board.

Thanks for your reply mikecito.

I was able to source a Miro DC 10 in the end from Ebay for around $100AUD ($55USD) which should do the job nicely. :)
