Hi:

I'm really new in this arena. I just purchased a LG GCC-4120B and installed on my pc (secondary master). I went to Blockbuster and got The Hole movie. I started with the guides on Doom9 to rip the DVD, but found several problems, and i have been not able to finish the ripping process.

Starting with Smart Ripper 2.41, i left the computer all night long and still, the progress went from 46% to 48%. Is this Normal?

Went to VStrip, and i had a "Lost sync" error two time at the same 47%.(BTW the ETA was 24 hours!)

Now i'm trying with DVD Decrypter (IFO anf File modes), but at the 46% (total progress, 91% of VT_01_02.VOB File) i have an ASPI error (detailed at the end of post). Anyway, i have used Force Aspi 1.7 from doom9 download section.

Somebody could give any clue on what's going wrong with this process?.

Thanks in advance

Flavio.

That error should NEVER come up. DVD only has one mode.
Either the disc is duff, or your drive is.

Hi:

Well, about the player, i have seen other movies on it (Pink Floyd's The Wall and Saving Private Ryan). Telling the truth i did't watch the Hole in my pc, just tried to rip it right away.
Looking at the back of the DVD, there are scratchs, that for sure, but none of them seem too serious to give that error (i hope, anyway the disc is not mine).

p.d.: thanks for the quick answer
