While ripping some cartoon eps I forgot to uncheck 'don't delete any files' in DVD2SVCD and when I got back I saw that the HD the files were written to was full so DVD2SVCD could not finish writing the image files. Thus I ended up with an 'bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg' of 406 MB and an 'Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv' of 376 MB.

Which one is the file that would be put into the image file? Can I just start an SVCD project with Nero and drag the mpg to it to get the very same SVCD that I would get when DVD2SVCD would have finished it's job? I do not use any title image for the CD so the mpg should be sufficient, right? And what kind of file is an mpv anyway? TIA!

If you don't have subtitles the mpeg file is the right one.
Check if you got audio and if have the right lenght, if so you can burn with nero or (for me better) use vcdhelp.
If you didn't delete any file and free some space you can use the recovery option in dvd2svcd misc page and start from where the process stop.

The bbMPEG muxed file is the final output video, but there is usually more than 1 (if there is more than 1 cd of output). So you should check to make sure the entire movie is there before you burn it. Also, you will not have chapters or the movie title if you just burn with Nero. You should use something like vcdeasy so that you can put these in manually.

Hi Chetwood,

as emilius256 already said, it's better to use the "Recover" button in "Misc." tab, then load the "*.d2s" file from the crashed conversion and restart from the "Muxing and cutting" step - so DVD2SVCD will do all the necessary steps for you after you have made some space available.

Using VCDEasy or Nero is not a bad suggestion but it won't cure the problem as they also need the same space on your hard drive to create the images.

So free up some space and do a recovery.

Hope this helps,
Gerti
