Rip diferent subs from already ripped vobsub subs

Well i have an already ripped vobsub ifo/idx/sub subs... but they have 3 diferent (?) english subs... and the total size of the sub is 18MB... wich is too big... so what i want id to choose only one of the english "tracks" and separate it from the others and still being able to use it as subs... is there a prog to do this... or even convert that into someother subtitle format?

VobSub's SubResync and SubRip could be used for OCRing VobSub subtitles into textual form.

OR

Compress the *.sub file using WinRAR, in that form you can use it / burn it on CD. (2 - 4 MB?)

try this:

open the idx file(created by vobsub) with notepad.(create a backup of the files first)
commment out or delete the languages & timestamps you don't need
then open with either subresync or vobsub cutter and save the file again

Gant - did you use WinRAR 3 and set it to the best values? Best compression, max. dictionary size...
