Anyone seen this bug before? I'm using CCE 2.50 retail together with the latest DVD2SVCD and when CCE starts, it immediately gives this error message. The weird thing is that I'veinstalled this config on 2 computers, both run W2k. The only difference is that the version on my Celereon 800 runs flawlessly and the one on my Duron 850 (not overclocked) comes up with this bug.
Any else experienced something similar?

This should prolly go in the DVD2SVCD forum...but I'll take a stab at it...
Does DVD2SVCD use Avisynth to communicate with CCE? If it does, you should post the script if you've modified it yourself. Check to make sure the DVD2AVI project file is valid, paths are correct, that the .vobs aren't corrupted, etc.

Mabye some of the mods should move it there cause it might really be a problem of DVD2SVCD.

Actually the reason for me to use DVD2SVCD was to do everything in one step and do not care about the details. I don't know wether Avisynth is used and how could I check that out. The point is that I did not do any modifications to any files.
For a test I also copied the ripped vobs that were encoded flawlessly on my Celeron machine to my Duron machine and again the same error appeared. So I think it's not any corrupt files but something different. According to the CCE FAQ I also tried to run it in WINNT compatibility mode but CCE locked up completely without any error message. What else could I try? Thanks again...

Alright, I've given it a shot on my AMD again this time on Win 98 which I'd also installed on that machine. I encoded a small chapter for a test and it worked. When I tried the whole movie the same error message came up and this freaks me out.
Cause still I know that all files are not corrupt cause I copied theem from my Celeron machine where I encoded the whole movie flawlessly. It got to be something different, I hope someone of you has any ideas...

There have been a ton of errors such as this in CCE, and the solution is not always the same for your scenario. Please post a log, which version of avisynth you are using, and if you are using mpeg2dec.dll or mpeg2dec2.dll - these should help me/others determine your problem and how to go about fixing it :)

I'd planned to reinstall w2k anyway so I did it and only installed a few things since I'm using this puter to encode/surf only and now it works flawlessly...
