Hi,
I'm just getting into using IfoEdit/ReMPEG2, but am a little confused on the "Frame Mode" setting in ReMPEG2.
The options are, "Match Source" or "Progressive only".
Can anyone please explain the difference between the 2, and when to use the right one ?
Many Thanks.

Well, you should really use CCE or TMPGEnc, the quality is a little better, but when I have used ReMPEG2 I always used match source, and it always worked fine. I think match source is just what it says, it matches the original file, I think

Commander XJL,
Thanks for the response, I found another source, also saying "match source" should be used, so I will use that in future.
I'm still quite new to ripping, so I want to understand wherever possible why it's necessary to do certain things in certain ways.
As for your comment about CCE / TMPGEnc, I have read quite a bit about CCE, but the learing curve seems a bit steep, also it's not possible to re-mux with IfoEdit, which I like to use.
As for TMPGEnc, I have used it in the past for MPEG encoding of home DV stuff, I must admit, I quite liked it, but as I said before, I've a lot to learn yet, so I want to stick to a set method for the time being.
One thing that does tick me off, is the long encoding times, I'm currently doing one that's scheduled for 28hrs (and I'm using an Intel P3 600).
I think I'm going to start looking own the road of splitting to 2 discs at this rate.
