I just received my order of 20 DvdPro DVD-R Silver Unbranded General disks + 10 DvdPro DVD-RW. Unfortunately, they sent me 20 Princo DVD-R and 20 Princo DVD-RW. I can tell because they are identical to other Princo disks I've ordered. The DVD-R's are white, not silver. And the DVD-RWs are marked PRINCO on the bottom inner ring.
And to add insult, instead of real jewel cases, they used those 1/2 cases (which break more easily).
Anyone has any experience dealing with Supermediastore?

Been ordering from them for years. Theyre good but can make mistakes. Send it in for exchange. Also dont by the Dvdpro V1 only the V2 if you can find them. GO with the LACdvd-r. I bought like 50 of them from supermedia store and theyre great. Dont buy the ML-dVd-r eighther.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check those out if I can find them -- I don't see LACdvd-r on their web site at the moment. Maybe it's called something else?
They replied and said the silver top was an old type, now replaced with the white top, which they say is better. They also said that Princo makes it and "DvdPro" is just their name for it. (?) I'm just going to keep them even though I already have a pile of Princos.

I bought some of these LAC*
Using the firmware shipped with my DVD-R (Pioneer dvr 104) it wouldn't finish a single burn.
Newest firmware 1.34 still won't burn.
I've wasted 80 bucks for 50 dvd-rs that are guarenteed very pretty coasters. God damn it.
Tried:
Nero
Ulead
and GearPro (which doesn't even make it past 1%).

I ordered 100 CD-R's from them and got the crappy cases. It took 19 days to get them even though the UPS site listed a scheduled delivery 4 days after order. I later found out they didn't leave the store for two weeks. I called a toll call # 4 or 5 times and left messages. No reply. I am in total agreement with Octagon, there are a shit-load of web sites for the same company and you get the same crappy service from them all. The LAC's from CDrDVDr are pretty good. At least the 10 I got in July were. But I'm not ordering from them because of the service. I've gotten 2 samplers and gotten burned both times when I ordered discs that worked in the sampler but received bulk discs of a different flavor. The problem with these web-whores is that they know once you've ordered they've gotcha. The bastards charge you a 15% restock fee, original S&H, and return S&H. 90% of the time you're better off hoping that even 2 or 3 of the 25 turds sold to you as DVD-R's suitable for video are suitable for video. That's the point of the restock fee. I've still got an RMA # from Supermediastore for 50 "grade A" blanks. If I follow through with it, I'll end up with about half of my money back. Every time I see that cake box of crap sitting on my desk I am sorely tempted to plaster the RMA # all over the outside of a box which I've filled with "Grade A" genuine turds and ship that back to them. If I ran my business the way these people do I woundn't have any money for them to steal in the first place. I'm not going to order from any of them again. See my post about Hyper Micro. As for DVDPro.....well, it depends on who's making them this week. Although, using DVDPro does save you loads of time. You don't have to go through all that tedious ripping, editing, encoding, and burning. In fact, you don't even have to unpack them. You can can just take them straight from the front porch to the curb and drop 'em in the trash. No muss-no fuss. Well, sorry for the rant but I feel better. Speaking of feeling better, I gotta take a dump. Now, what did I do with that box?

Well, to the contrary.. I've gotten about 100 DVD-R's from supermediastore so far with cases and am very pleased. They are not Princo, at least they don't say so on the hub area. They actually say _nothing_ there, no markings on the discs or the 50-pack box of any kind. So far in an A-04 every one has burnt perfectly (40 or so) and play on Toshiba, Apex and other brands of players without a problem (25 or so of them were computer data, not video, discs and they're fine too). The cases are the regular sized "Keep Cases" and the hub/disk-removal-button is actually the best designed I've seen yet. I'm very pleased considering they're .89 each plus .29(?) for the cases and free shipping.
The *free* UPS Ground shipping took a while from Cali to the East Coast but I didn't mind since it was _FREE_...
