Crashing TMPEG !!!

Hi,

i'm a little bit confused right now.

FIrst i encoded an avi with no problem to a VCD. The next one were good, too.

But the third one encodes and then the whole PC crashes. Maybe the CPU was to warm. But thats not it. Another avi was encoded correct wthout any problem only this one let the pc crash.

Have someone a good idea????

How exactly crahes your PC?
What OS?
Every time you try on the same frame of your AVI?

Everything stands, no mouse move ... no nothing only the Reset Button does the dirty work :).

I'm using 98SE (tried it under XP also under Win 2000; same effect)

Same frame must be I think.

It looks like there is a corrupt frame in your avi.
Maybe it helps if you open the avi in VirtualDub, there: Video >> Scan video for errors
And look what it says. I suppose you have a divx-avi. Then I recommend searching in the forum for "repair avi"

I too have the same problem and i am using windows 2000. i gb processor and 256 ddr ram. Pc freezes aton different frames each time and it is not the avi neither.

Any other ideas. Oh i am using latest version
