Goto: http://www.vcdhelp.com/tools.htm

and down load the Elecard MPEG2 Codec in the codec section.... after its installed you should be able to read MOST vob files in TMPGenc

TMPGenc can open VOBs without any addon, but then it uses the DirectShow filter of your Software-DVD Player which is not so good.

Best way to open MPEG-2 in TMPGenc is still the DVD2AVI method (or AviSynth using "mpeg2dec.dll" if you want to use filters)

Does this mean that resizing can be done straight using vobfiles ?
Like not demuxing to .d2v and .ac3.
