i used CCE to rencode two movies together, Moulin Rouge and Black Hawk down, with the same settings. I then authored them with Spruce up. BHD was excellent when i played it back on the satnd alone DVD but Moulin gave me a shaking picture. The resoulution is excellent with no distortion but ht etransition between the picture is not good???? any idea??

What settings did you use in CCE on Black Hawk Down? Because my picture is good on computer, but on stand alone player it sucks, it seems as if image is doubling. Did you have to do anything to video file after CCE?

i used all the settin mentioned in DOOM9 manual (Getting the Best...)
I having the same problem with most the movies i tried. i also tried changing the setting, but i keep getting the same problem.
Last week i tried Scent of a Woman (2:38Hours), the picture was good no shaking, but th emotion was not smooth. I really don't know how people managed to put two movies in ine DVD??
I went back to ReMPG and TeMPG ...

If the image is okay on the pc but shakes on a player then it just sounds like it is the field scanning order. There are loads of posts on this but it's something a bit quirky with CCE and I've found that if you always make sure that Upper Fields First is always deselected (under the Video setting), irrespective of what any other program tells you, then everything will be fine.

Well contrary to popular understanding tests have revealed that 'Upper Field First' must be selected in CCE when encoding DV source. We all know that DV is lower field first and I have no explanation why in CCE the oposite must be selected but that is what works. If you uncheck it as logic suggests then the product has reversed field order and the picture is shaky. I have tested both settings and I am stumped!
If anyone has a good explanation for those backwords observations please speak up!
