I have made several movies with sucess with cce & scenarist method. I am encoding Pal movies. No matter witch bitrate I use or witch max bitrate I use, it always gives jumpy frames in PS2( I mean, slight pauses during playback, but not on chapter change). It works well in my settop sony player (ns700v). I making this question, just no to get perfection, but not to worry in the future, if I had to try in other settop players. (like going in vacations and taking the PS2)

Is it something to have with peak bitrate ? I notice with rempeg, that in my movies, the peak bitrate is always higher than the max bitrate !!! How can I limit or lower the peak bitrate like the original in cce ? witch option do I have to use ? (of course, if this causes the problem)

Do I have to use pulldown ? I think not being this a Pal source.

Please I beg u, give me a light !!!

Sorry about the multiple replys.

Is it because I use min bitrate in CCE with a value of "min bit=0", and I should set it to 2000 for example.

Hi, i had the same problem.
In my case the streams were not correctly and my authoring program did not check on it (DVDit)
I discovered it when using SpruceUp.

Check 2 things:

1)
When encoding AVI, you framerate HAS TO BE EXACTLY 25fps, so 24.997 IS WRONG, you can correct the AVI using AviFrate

2)
Check the audio stream, IT HAS TO BE 48khz AND NOT 44,1 khz

Maybe it'll help you

Sorry, but i saw you used rempeg, so the movies are probably all right..
