Hi everybody,

Here's my issue about this, I hope that somebody can help me.
In general I burn my backups using CCE, with English Audio and Portuguese subtitles, keeping original Menus and Extras (Trilight guide) all works fine with my single PCGC PAL films, my problem is about the correct way off doing this, for example in my original ifo from Star Wars Episode 1 R2 the Portuguese subtitles is the stream nš 9, how can I sync this in Maestro?
Do I need to import the subtitles to slot 9 and not putting anything on slot 1 changing the abbreviator to (PT)? (I have try but the film don't work in Ifoedit DVDPlay function, maybe I do something wrong)
Do I need to have always a subtitle in slot 1?
Is there any other way to do it?
Presently I put the subtitles in slot 1 (normaly associated with English Subtitles) and I need to choose in the subtitle menu off the film the English subtitles so I can see the Portuguese ones.

I'm working on a PAL guide based on Trilight and Doom guides (since Trilight only use NTSC films) and I have only this issue to complete my guide, I will put it if Trilight or Doom not see any inconvenient after it's finish since I merge some existing guides and posts but the hard work has doing by them.

The problem applies to any other stream language.

It may be a stupid question, but, are you sure you're selecting "25FPS PAL" in SubRip when you initially rip the subs? If not, that could cause them to be off.

Yes I do it.
The problem is not the subtitles being off, because if I use the player remote control or the subtitle Menu I can turn on the subtitles.
My question is if there are any way to force automaticaly the display of the subtitles in Maestro when the film is inserted on player, because I have see this feactures in some original films.
So if the Maestro have this feacture I don't need to hurry putting the subtitles in the correct language stream slot.

Ok, what you're wanting to do will require a "Command Sequence". For instance, let's say you want it set to the second subtitle stream and then play the movie as soon as you put it in the player. You would do this by creating a command sequence as follows:

No. Command
1 SetSTN St(2-On)
2 Jump to Movie1(#1)

This is done using the buttons in the "Command Sequence" section listed as "Set System Stream" for line 1 and "Jump" for line 2. Once you add the commands, you'll see it's rather self-explanatory when choosing the stream and the movie/chapter you want to jump to. You would then set this command sequence as the as the project's "First Play". When you insert the disc, that stream will automatically be selected and the movie will begin playing. Hope this helps.

Great.

Finally I can finish my CCE/Maestro Guide for PAL movies, adapting your guide for single PGC movies (keeping the menus) and adapting Doom's guide for multiple PGC movies (removing the menus).

I tell you that you are the man.

Only left a workaround for multiple PGC.

Do you our Doom mine if I publish my Guide (a lots off copy/paste from yours, since my English it's very poor) for all guys using PAL movies?

I don't care. I'm sure Doom9 doesn't either. We all work from things we've learned from other people/places. No one person was born knowing it all though I could name a few that think they were! hehe :) Feel free to post. There's no forum rule to be broken in that.

alternative if u r selecting the movie from a menu button u can set it to autoselect subtitles stream 2 before jumping to the movie.

U can find the position of these choices in the 3d tab of the button's window.
