I'm not sure if I am asking in the right place, if not please let me know.
Using Windows 2000, I have a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-103 Burner, I use Gear dvd to burn, I want to split movies on two sided blanks. I have done one movie right Spy Games, but don't seem to be able to make any others work. Here is what I have been doing.
1st. use DVDDecrypter3005 to rip the files, I have tried both just the movie and all.
2nd. Having the vob files and the (VTS_01_1 ifo) file in a folder named VIDEO_TS, I run infoedit first I make ifo files to make a (video ifo) file, than I run the get GTS sectors button till it is okay.

I know how to strip the sounds I don't want, and the subtitles, I haven't gotten brave enough to try keeping the menus.

Sometimes infoedit will split the movie and not error. When I do get a infoedit error, I am trying to split a movie, infoedit copies all the files to the first folder and only the ifo's to the second folder, then errors out.

windows 2k says infoedit has to be closed. [B] I need help on why I get the infoedit close error, it only happenes when I split a movie.

please can someone help me.
thank you

The problem where all files go into Disc1 folder with just the ifo & bup files into disc2 folder is that a splitting point has not been designated. Ifo edit usually decides the split point with a highlighted section on the disc file info. Where no line is highlighted by ifoedit, you must manually click on the line where you want the split. Try to go for roughly half way in the film + at a chapter break. This will then write into both folders.
Happy Ripping.
