I'm using DVD Decrypter 3.0 and when I open the program it gives
me the error:
UDF Parsing Failed!
Device:[1:1:0] Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-104
Reason: Function 'UDFFindPartition' Returned 0
Has anyone else encountered this problem? I've searched
the forums but haven't found anything on it. Any help
would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Have you got a blank disc in the drive or something? If that fails, its because it couldnt find a partition on the disc. Yes, this is a bad thing, but if you've inserted a blank cd then its understandable.
If its not a blank, what dvd is it? Ive yet to hear of an instance where the udf parsing failed.

Why havent you mentioned it then!
Ive got over 200 dvds and its never failed, not once. Shrek works fine and Private Ryan works fine. What region are your discs?

Hey Lighting, I'm using region 1. I didn't mentioned it because I'm pretty new and didn't know if I was doing things properly. After more testing, I keep getting it. Got it on Dragon Tales - Yes, we can, The Others and Domestic Disturbance.

So the discs you mentioned never work?
Has anyone else got these titles and is has having the same problem?
Do you have these titles and have no problem?
I really need to know!
I cant afford to keep buying supposedly problematic discs to find that they work just fine :)

No, I don't have that problem.
At least Shrek works with DVDDecrypter without problem in
my system.

@marcovan,
better you disable the UDF parsing from your OS,
if you use Win98 SE, you could run "MSconfig" from the Run
windows to do that.
I was trouble ripping and playing DVD with some not PC friendly DVD, since I disable the UDF, now I can play and rip them nicely!

Don't get me wrong lighting, I love your program. The problem started when I upgraded to the latest version.
I am using W2K, so how do I disable UDF parsing?

Im glad you like it, but im more concerned about it working / not working!
If there is a bug, I need to fix it! :)
Unless people tell me about their problems with it, they wont get fixed - unless I spot them myself.

Yeah, I think its a problem with their system / the dvd more than with the udf parser. It's not the kind of thing that works sometimes and not others.

try to have the disc you want to rip in the dvd drive and reboot the system and if the disc works then but if you try to change disc and the new disc dont work then something is wrong with the udf parser or something in you system.
I had this problem when I was using vobs instantwrite in my system.
replay and if thats the problem then we have to find out what other program that is actually making this problem.

I am getting the same problem i have tried both the latest and previous dvd decrypter and i get the error. The dvd is a rw- and i actually burnt what is on it a movie ripped with dvd decrypter. Not only do i get the error but my puter locks up in a sort of way that i can click things but nothing works i either get a rundll32 error or nothing at all.I cannot even shut down!.I thought it was my harddrive then my dvd rom then my dvd burner but nope none of those it's something about dvd dexrypter and i am in no way gonna slag it off coz it's a great program and i won't use anything else but we need a fix:( i couln'nt even eject the dvd i even stuck a pin in the emergency eject and it still wouldnt open.It was working fine until 2 days ago it suddenly changed i don't know what done it but i noticed that i uninstalled and reinstalled power dvd and it worked again so i thought this time the same trick would work but nope not this time i am without dvd decrypter until there is some kind of fix.I hope this is enough info on the problem but if not then i will setup my spare puter and run it and try and add as much as i can on here as locks up.....i need 2 puters.
Later
