I re-authored a warner bro movie without menus or subs just to see how things looked on a dvd-rw via pioneer dv333 and a decent tv...all is well aside from chapter points being quite far off..I followed these steps...

"For NTSC discs there's an additional catch. The movie framerate is always 29.97fps, but most of the time we want to encode at 23.976fps to get a better quality at the same size (force film in DVD2AVI, or perform IVTC). Obviously, the chapter points will be off if we use the numbers from ChapterXtractor. But there's an easy fix: In ChapterXtractor change the FPS rate from 29970 to 23976 and you now have the right chapter points for the 23.976fps file. When we're going to perform pulldown on this source the chapter points will then match the original framenumbers again."

I used force film in dvd2avi...pasted the 35 chapter points in ccesp on the first pass...what else should I have done to preserve the chapter points(which came out quite off)?..I tried using a .chp file I made in chapter extractor and dropping it into dvd maestro but something is fubar for sure...anyone experiece this issue and/or have a workaround?...many thanks. Also I did a 9 pass encode in ccesp to see how good it could look so if possible I would like to save this m2v file to avoid a lengthy re-encode.
