Is it possible to get an m2v file from the VOB files without encoding the video? I have a DVD where the sound is out of sync. I would like to get an m2v file out, fix the ac3 and reauthor.

Yeah, use VOBEdit.

hi,

vobedit is pretty bugged as far as i've seen :(
is there another tiny program able to extract m2v and ac3 files from a set of vob files ?

i think that smartripper can do that but it's pretty bugged as well

what do you use for that task ?

thanks :)

VOBRotator can demux but is buggy like VOBedit. However, I have found that if you steer clear of the playback functions it is fairly stable.

... use VStrip + GUI, still the best (for me), get a guide from doom9.

Btw. did you ever donate to a freeware coder to motivate him to improve his proggy and get rid of some bugs ? This just came into my mind reading all the bad feedback about VobEdit/Vobrator/Smartripper...
