I did select a new directory for the stripped vobs, but I keep getting the error:

"Failed to open for writing D:\DVD\BR2\new\VTS_01_1.VOB"

*hit ok*

"Error writing file!"

*hit ok*

"Finished correcting VOBU pointers!"

*hit ok*

"Error open file.
Maybe it is write protected!" (it isn't)

I get the same errors on another movie I ripped, too.

My main PC is Windows XP, but I also tried the process on Win 98.

Any ideas? Thanks

Maybe your hard disk is full. Otherwise, try emptying your recycle.

not sure if this will work but i found that problem sometimes
with a new directory that doesnt exist, now i make a new folder
in explorer first then chose that one
ifoedit wouldnt create a new dir.

that worked for me

Nope, that wasn't it either.

i happen to encounter the very same pb (usually on vts_01_2.vob).

whatever disk i choose i always get the same pb (and i have plenty of room).
i'm gonna test it again with older version just to make sure.
