When I use Scenarist to input m2v files, but found the following error message:
Error : Number of fields (38) in GOP(# 10) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 36.
Warning : Number of SequenceEndCode is 0.
what the problem is?

Is there any tools which has the ability to edit the m2v file directly?

Something has screwed up your GOP headers, causing them to run together (thus violating the DVD Spec of 36 fields MAX for NTSC). This "something" has also removed the required END SEQUENCE CODE. Why don't you tell us how you got to this state of affairs?

This has happened to me before (a program messed up my headers) and the only way I found to recover was to re-encode.

A simple search would also have thrown up this thread, from only 7 days ago.

Also be aware that MPEG2 Edit Pro has, in my experience, at least, a very bad habit of screwing up MPEG2 files when it outputs them to anew file, after having edited them.
