When copying this......rempeg freaks out during the GOP scan.
Here's what to do to avoid reauthoring/rencoding the whole thing.
Use ifoedit to rip out all audio but the 6-channel English u want. And keep the English subs & the 1 foreign language sub.
So use Derrows VOBEDIT cell approach (see his guide http://mpucoder.dynodns.net/derrow/parttrans.html )....and split VOB1 into its cell parts ..I got 12.
Rencode cells 3 thru 11 with rempeg ...one at a time ...takes bout 5 min each. Use 68% bitrate and progressive/predictive. Remember to select 720 by 480 for each m2v - Rempeg remembers the other stuff, once u don't close it. If u encode at 352 480 ur subs will get scrambled.
remux the cells with the matching encoded m2v's in VOBedit and then use CELL join to remake a new VOB1.
Now replace the orig VOB1 in the RIp with this smaller one.....
Run ifoedit on the ifo for the VTS and now select strip streams (strip the foreign lang. sub) and fix VOBU etc and create new ifo's. No remux.
Ifoedit will realign everything.....now pull up the last VOB ...#5 in PowerDVD or Win DVD or wmp in this new VTS and check how much of it is end credits. Calculate the % that is end credits and use VOBSPLIT to trim. Check your new trimmed VOB and if it is good then replace VOB #5 with it.
Use ifoedit to GETVTS and You' re done ...should be around 4.35 GB with 6 ch surround and English subs. Most of the movie is untouched......and overall it is excellent quality.
