Well my question is that I have been trying to reencode some VCD tv-episodes into divx avi files and it has gone well for almost all of them with the exception of one of the files, when vdub gets into the processing it halts the encoding process with the following error:

"MPEG-1 audio decode error - not enough data to decode frame"

So my question is, are there any tools that can fix such errors in the audio stream so that vdub can finish the process or can I setup vdub in some way to make it ignore the error and continue the encoding.Or am I just SOL :)

The error in the file can't be too great since window media player and other players can play the file without any noticable problems. Thank you in advance for any help and suggestions:)

first you can try vcdgear to fix the error.
if that doesnt work look at this thread for info about encoding a damaged mpeg file. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25426

the second last post should help you if the error is only in the audio.
you can simply load the resulting wav file with vdub when you encode the mpeg file.
