I use Nandub to split movies to two CDRs and have been having the same problem with all movies. The file splits, I burn it, the first disc plays fine and the second disk freeze frames about 2/3 through it, yet the sound continues.

I have used VirtualDub to split, but I get an error message with it saying I have an incorrect MP3 VBR header and the sound is skewed but the
frame is no longer a problem. The sound is a major headache to fix.

The original avi file on disk is perfect and can be played with no problems at all.

Can anyone help me with this? The older versions of VirtualDub did not have this problem and I am kinda new to Nandub.

Thanks.

Never seen that before, i've done that work often and all is going allright.
You split the file after having muxed the audio and the video or during the muxing process(i mean you attach the mp3 and save only a part of the movie?

I'm afraid to couldn't be so useful:(

Yes, I do the whole thing with GKnot, then use NanDub do split it. Oddly enough, the .avi files I have trouble with were made with the sharp bi-cubic filter, not the neutral one. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. I went back to some avi files I did with the neutral filter and there is no problem.

Thankd.

On another thread, someone suggested that color lever I had was to high (32-bit) and that I should lower it to 16-bit and it would help my problem. I am surprised, but it did. I never suspectee something so simple.

Thanks to all who helped me.

The color level of your display fixed it? This is obviously a very obscure bug. I have everything in 32 bit and I can split fine.

:o Try "DVDCutter Stream and Mp3CDWav Converter", it's good at it, but you'd better use registered version, it's stabler. You can find it in www.jummpa.com
