I am trying to back up atlantis to svcd using dvd2svcd and it is working but it is creating the first disk as 804 MB, which is fine, and the second one is coming up as 963 MB for some reason(the mpeg is also this size). There is only about 40 min of video on the second cd. I have tried playing around with the settings on the bitrate tab but always get the same results. Is there some sort of copywrite that is causing this and is there a way around it. This is the only movie so far that I am having this problem with. I am not able to burn 963 MB to a 700 MB cd. Help please!!!:confused:

what encoding mode do you use vbr onepass vbr ?
have you tried to set mins. to lower number maybe to 695?
which vesrion of dvd2svcd do you use?
cause this problem i had some versions ago too...

I am using version 1.0.9 build 2. I was using constant rate but will try to set it to 2pass variable bitrate and see if that works. I have set the bitrate to 76 min for the first disk and 50 for each other and this has worked for all other movies.

? maybe thats the mistake,
try this f.e. your movie is 120 mins,in the bitrate tab you choose"between 100&125" and enter the size of your cdr`s -6mb...

dvd2svcd will cut the mpeg in 2 same sized pieces and create images out of it

every time you choose 2 they will be (nearly samesized)
