If I have a SVCD that I need to edit/cut I use bbdmux and bbMPEG because TMPGEnc sometimes has problems with cutting a file. It seems silly for me to demux just to edit a file but it does work great every time. Is there an easier way to cut an SVCD file in pieces?

Thx for the info. Does anyone know if all of the ulead programs will do this? Media studio, video studio and DVD workshop? Which is the easiest/best for editing without encoding.

Try use MPEG2VCR(3.11).

It perfectly cut or join your SVCD movie.

I am using DVDx(2.0)+lsx-plugin(1.5)=SVCD movie,
MPEG2VCR(3.11)= cut 3X 800MB
Burn with Videopack(5.1)
Almost perfect qulity(at least for me)

Where do you get the plugins? I didn't see any on their website http://www.womble.com/

ftp://ftp.womble.com/upgrade/

The latest in a series of upgrades was just put up on the Womble download site, now its version 3.12(June/2002).

It now has the ability to "fix" the mpegs and select a DVD profile.

Thx for the info. Maybe I'm confused about what you mention here. I was thinking that there is a plugin that I need to add but maybe not. What is this plugin you mention? Also is this a trial program? I tried to edit/cut a file and than press record (I think that's how you save it) but when I play back the file is no good. If the video bitrate is higher than the SVCD std will it still work?

I'm looking for a program to cut/edit SVCD movie but in your post you said "I am using DVDx(2.0)+lsx-plugin(1.5)=SVCD movie". I don't know what that is. Also I tried MPEGVCR program and I wasn't able to play the movie after I cut it. It comes out all green with no picture. Maybe i don't know how to use it

I am using DVDx(2.0) with LSX-plugin(1.5) for converting DVD movie to SVCD (mostly using Flask).

Thats what I mean for "DVDx(2.0)+lsx-plugin(1.5)=SVCD movie"

And you downloaded "MPEGVCR" from http://www.womble.com is only for "MPEG 1" editing DEMO program. You should download MPEG2VCR(3.12) which is MPEG 2 editing program from here; ftp://ftp.womble.com/upgrade/
It also DEMO version.

You need to buy the SERIAL NUMBER or find it(crack or S/N) for unlocked the program to fully operation.

I installed MPEG2VCR(3.12) and its EXACTLY what I was looking for.

If I have a file that's 1500 mb's does it have an option to split the file at a certain size, let's say 750 mb's? So far it works very good.

Thank you for telling me about this great program!
