OK, I was under the impression that VCD's were burned in mode2, meaning the cdr can hold 800MB of data instead of the usual 700MB. Now, I have a 750MB mpg that I'm trying to author as a VCD in Nero... And its telling me that the file is too big!

Is this something going wrong with Nero, or am I wrong about the 800MB thing?

You are correct. A 80min 700mb cd can hold 800mb mode 2 data. Are you sure your file is mpeg1 and not mpeg2? When you tell Nero that it is mpeg1, maybe it isn't.

Also, don't post the same message in multiple forums please.

Yep, I'm certain its mpeg1. It was encoded usinf TMpgEnc, and afterwards split into 2 separate files.

And sorry bout the cross-posting, but its only after I posted here that i realised this forum wasnt as appropriate as the other one to ask this question.
