I have a big list of ripped movies. But as you all know, the warner bro$ movies are sometimes a pain in the ass.
I'm making R2 Swordfish:
I guided me with Derows Guide "Transcoding a part of a Movie"
Structure:
vts_01_1.vob --- extras
vts_02_1.vob --- WB logo, Trailer, Interview and Main Movie start
vobid1 vobid2 vobid3 vobid4&5
vts_02_2.vob to vts_02_7.vob the rest of the main movie
vts_03_1&2.vob --- extras
So as you see, WB logo, Trailer and Interview are Interlaced, Main Movie is progressive. Here begins the *pain in the ass* (*pita).
I begin to rip:
The unwanted Audio (keep Audio 1 - English 6ch and keep Audio 4 - English, causes I think it's connected to Trailer sound) Also keep Portuguese Subtitle (BEWARE HUMANS, PORTUGAL IS GOING TO CONQUER YOU, in world cup)
Also Ripped VobID3 and kept VobID1,2,4 and 5.
Having the new striped vob in a new folder and I started with Derows Guide "Transcoding a part of a Movie"

Cause I thought, that if we remux to cells, transcode only the main movie with rempeg and then joined the cells again this could solve the problems of Interlaced/Progressive movies without having to using CCE/TEMPEG (you know that when a movie as Interlaced and Progressive frames Rempeg can't deal with it cause he is going to encode Interlaced frame well and Progressive Frame badly.)
I made everything like derows guide says:
1º remuxed to cells.
2º Cutted the movie cells to another folder and then joined them.
3º Made Rempeg cffl and encode it, getting a m2v file.
(Remember)
"Hey ? When I was trying to mux the m2v with vobedit, it was only producing a vob file (vts_02_1.vob and then stopped)."
Why does vobedit don't continue processing the m2v by getting the next vob file (in the case, vts_02_2.vob and so on to the 4th)
Derows guide only mention on muxing a short m2v file with a single vob file joined from a few vob cells.
What about when we have 29 vob cells ? like in my "Swordfish" case. That I get 31 vob Cell (cell 3 to cell 31 it's where main movie is). when we join this 29 cells (to start the encoding) I get 4 vts_02_xx.vob files.
Well, this is how I tried to manage myself (with no exit, but I think I'm near).
I muxed the m2v file by (PAY ATTENTION) making, again, a new rip from the original vob's (vts_02_XX.*) a new folder by stripping the vobid 1,2,3 and kept vobid 4,5 (are you following) also kept audio 1 and sub portuguese.
Then I opened the stripped vts_02_0.ifo with ifoedit, and remuxed with m2v that I had transcoded.
Then I demuxed into cells again, renamed them to vts_02_003.vob till vts_02_031 and pasted them where the vts_02_001 and vts_02_002.vob files were. Then joined the cells (don't know if I should choose join clips).
Got 3 vob files and renamed them to vts_02_1.vob, vts_02_2.vob and vts_02_3.vob. As you know from the Derow's guide, cut these files and pasted them in the stripped folder that contained the 4 vts_02.xx.vobs. Had to erase the 4th.
Then opened ifoedit vts_02_0.ifo and choose "Vob Extras" and only choosed: Correct vob-unit...
Correct IFO tables...
Adjust Vob-Unit pointers
Adjust Audio/Subp pointers.
In The End :), I had to save, by pressing button "save".
Copied the missing files (video_ts.vob, vts_01_XX.*, vts_02_0.vob and vts_03_XX.*)
Opened Ifoedit and pressed "Get VTS sectors". After this I pressed "DVD PLAY"
Conclusion:
First the Warner Bro$ logo was displayed(like in the original), then it went to menu, like in the original (ah, I'm trying to keep the menu, think I read somewhere that probably I can't keep the menu with this process, Can I ? please, HOW ?) All extras are playing well. But the main movie isn't. The chapters are not correct, only play till 15 chapter, but these 15 chapters don't correspond to the original chapters starts.
Do I have to correct Chapters where they Start? But how, do you know a Thread or a guide that can teach me do this.
I'm I doing something wrong when correcting vobs or get vts sectors or hell ("I'm I doing sonething wrong... Of course I'm, if I wasn't the movie would play all chapter and correctly like original structure.
Please I already encoded (Swordfish) many times and you know that encoding takes his time. Do u know my solution or can you give me a light, please.
